Celebrating the Toronto Blue Jays Major League Baseball Organization as a Business ServantI am so pumped after last nights "take me out to the ball game"
adventure at the Rogers Centre in Toronto last night that I choose to make
this the theme of "this weeks" blog. In my previous entry I made light of what a fabulous organisation
and Business Servant Safehaven Project for Community Living is. Well they continue to shine and provided
me with the opportunity to not only see a Toronto Blue Jays baseball game but also from this perspective
to see what a fabulous Business Servant the Toronto Blue Jays Baseball Club is. I knew that they are
a supporter of Safehaven yet to be provided four tickets (plus we saw many other non profit wheelchair accessible
vehicles present) on the main level right behind homeplate - wow. Here the two children who are restricted to wheelchair
mobility had an excellent vantage point, and we as caregivers had comfortable padded stackable chairs right in the choicest
section of this domed stadium. The Chicago Red Sox beat the Blue Jays 6 to 1 and yet we were in their competitively throughout
the game. At one point in the game we were bases loaded which could have catapulted us into the lead. Nevertheless
exceptional sportsmanship and skills were demonstrated by both teams. The Chicago second baseman made a superb driving
play and throw to first to out our runner. With this being the first time to a baseball game for one of the teenage youths
it was a thrill of a lifetime to be here with his other friend and CareGivers. I did the hooting and the hollering and
encouragement for them: being 6'3" tall I do have a booming voice. We all had a blast as the two kids would
tell me what they wanted to encourage to the team. For example we were priviledged to see our Ace Pitcher: Roy, the Doc Haliday in
Action. I would translate: (NAME) WANTS TO SEE THE BIG K DOC! The whole event was very festive and the invisible
service supporting us was phenomenal - including the paramedics team near us (a team stationed throughout the stadium - re,
flying foul balls. When your at the ball game you better make certain you are watching the pitch because when the crack
of the bat occurs some of them are real zingers and if you are only turning them it may be too late. Luckily no
injuries. Of course we have to mention the TTC as being another Business Servant in
Action, For the cost of a public transit fare for each of us: two adults and two children, we were picked up by WheelTrans,
delivered to our entrance and picked up after the game and returned. Transportation to and from the baseball game took
less time than by regular able-bodied public transit. Nice to see since this segment of the population must in most
cases spend more time readying themselves. is. The crecendo to this event is that it is yet further testimony how
what we shine out comes back to us many folds in ways which we could not imagine. And when we apply the power
of Business to this, as in being a Business Servant and networking opportunities for the
good of mankind, we can together really make things happen and have a super fun time in the process. On behalf of the four of us and everyone at Safehaven, thank you and a big hug to the Blue Jays (You delivered the strikeouts
and the "WORK THE PITCHER" when on base, etc. - baseball = fun entertainment), The Rogers Centre, WheelTrans
and the TTC. Wishing that all your moments of truth are happy ones, Cheers, Mark 416 769-7700

Having a fun time serving business - pump that economy! Here it is a week since my last entry and what a week it has been and continues
to be. A spreadsheet has been built - with just a few revisions to be tweaked - which will allow us
to breakdown web development costs into their respective activities. Pursuing the number one search
engine rankings with Google, Yahoo and MSN is a great challenge. Exciting is this spreadsheet
as from a business servant point of view it gives the keys to the driver: variable costs
can be changed, initial investments can be scaled up or scaled down. As spreadsheets
go they are a great tool for forecasting resources and conducting "what if" scenarios. It's so neat to how when our focus is on serving as so many wonderful opportunities
are presented: Thus not much time for bloging. You will note one of the companies presented whom
we believe exudes the Business Servant characteristics is www.AdrianTheMover.com. Three times within this past year I commissioned Adrian's
Relocation Services: once for myself and our family and twice for valued Customers. In situations
such as these I definitely like to be on the front line assisting: As a leader I demand of myself to lead
by example - how can I ask another person to e.g. perform carrying boxes with passion if I
do not enthuse this myself. Being alongside I can help effect the positive attitude that makes the
tasks not only easier but completed most effectively. Sure I could commission
this task to be done independant of myself being there yet being "in the trenches" will ensure Victory.
As a bonus I am closer to the Customer and when service excellence prevails I am in the best position
to recognize this learning. I must say that working with Adrian and his Team of Moving Professionals
and Relocation Specialists was a joy and a success. Just the Business
Servant I like and want to have on my Logistics Team. Adrian can be contacted at 416 944-2018.
This week I was also fortunate to further projects I have on the go with my prized client: a Business
Servant example themselves, in a style which exudes success. They have a beautiful country
home north of Toronto. Imagine driving through a gated entrance, through a tall, thick and deep stand of trees - looking
into the depths one sees the tall tree trunk orchard disappearing into the distance of the forest. Then majestically
one finds oneself at the top of a steep hill with a grand private lake to the left. Drive down into the valley along
the edge of the lake over and up the hill to to dwellings located on top of the other side of the lake. Lunch and dinner
deliciously prepared in this idyllic setting is sumptuous and good nourishment for crafting success.
I am happy to report that we have some new and exciting things happening on the www.wifiexposure.com positive propaganda front which will, positively speaking, be launched end of September beginning of October
2009. I am happy to report that my craftsperson on call has worked booked for two months - not so great
for us and yet great for him - and he is definitely an exceptional Business Servant. On the ever bright
side he is always there for us to help with building project challenges and can issue instructions for me
to follow. And of course we have Natalie and Oksana at www.Health2b1.com. Also fitting Business Servants. Lucky me that I have a massage treatment
scheduled for tomorrow - how nice it was to receive their call inviting me to enjoy this relaxation and healing
session. That's the beauty of my Faith being my guiding light in being a Business Servant 4 U
(for you). Here I am working diligently to serve and it is as if God says "and now Mark"
I will bring you what you need and what is best for you." I know with Natalie the healing goes beyond massage treatments:owing
to the fact that as a Naturopath and Holistic rememdies practioner she focuses on the whoke
aspect of healthy living. I have mentioned previously that her meals are delicious. In return for this
treatment I will coach her with her English skills and as well we'll be working on developing a new website
to promote their Spa and Health Retreat in the Ukraine. With leadership of Oksana
and Natalie I know this spa is of world class quality. Perhaps one day soon I will
get to visit it myself. Always so witty I strive to be. In closing of the Business Servant front
this week there is one organization - although a not-for-profit one - which has been a major thrust and inspiration
to my passion to be a Business Servant: www.SafeHavenproj.org. This is the Respite Organization I mentioned in my last entry. So wonderful to be a volunteering
part of a great organization serving people with special needs and their families.
Wishing you all a wonderful day with bounteous opportunities to serve.
Cheers, Mark

I am pleased to announce the launch of our promotional
section above. Building websites while also attending to "the chores" of
bringing this Business Servant concept to action means that I can only do so much of the
web-oriented tasks, especially when the latter activity provides me with my means of subsitence. Never the less,
as time permits, the presentation of our trusted network of friends and merchants will be expanded. On a business
servant note, I am honoured that the respite centre where I volunteer (more like
hanging out with them at their country club) has commissioned me to paint a couple of rooms in their head office. And
with smiling thoughts I now get to serve in this task (Thanks to all who have taught me to paint over the years.) Wishing
everyone a super Saturday, Cheers. Mark 416 769-7700 Toronto, Canada
